DIY Fishing Game With Kids, Fun Felt Fish Sewing Project For Kids

This is such a fun project for kids and grownups alike. We had so much fun creating these simple felt fish. We used very inexpensive felt that you can find most anywhere. I drew our fish patterns by hand on paper, and we cut them out to trace onto our felt.

We cut two pieces to provide a front and back. This way we could stuff our fish with a small amount of batting. We used embroidery thread to blanket stitch the fish together.
You can do any stitch you like.

We used buttons, sequins and beads to embellish our fish, and a tiny bit of stuffing to plump them up.

You also need to stitch a small washer into the mouth of your fish. Try not to make them too heavy.
You will need some kind of rod and string with a magnet attached to the end for fishing.

This makes such a cute beginner sewing project for kids that they can play with.

They were so excited to go fishing!

This was such an amazing project. If you make them please let us know!
