World Continents Activities, Montessori Geography Resources At Home

Early Montessori geography Materials are nothing short of amazing and fun to use! Below are a few activities we had fun with while using our Montessori Continents Puzzle Map, and our DIY Montessori Continents Globe!

Xander is using his labelled control map and Continent puzzle here.  These control maps are fantastic and inexpensive to purchase. They are a fantastic added resource that we've really enjoyed.

Here he is labelling the puzzle. I also bought the puzzle labels here, though you can make them yourself easily. We use these tiny bottles to store hand made labels.

These spice bottles are from the dollar store. Most of our labels (if purchased) come with beautiful clear plastic boxes, but some do not and also many of us make our labels.  These will fit most labels, and also our bead chain arrows.

 Finding Continents on the globe.
I created a tracing circle template to create our globe maps. This is a small tray from the dollar store. I punched a hole in the bottom with a nail and screwed on a small wooden handle from the underside.
You don't really need one of these templates but it's fun to have.

Xander traced out the puzzle map, painted and labelled it. The paints he used are from the dollar store.

A bit of cardinal directions work with 3 parts cards. We have had many requests about these cards. We have since created a set of cardinal directions and parts of the globe 3 Part Cards, that are available now at our Printables Store.

 Hard at work labelling.

He so loves his painting!

If you missed them!
