World Landmarks Continent Mat Activity, Montessori History & Geography At Home

As part of our World Continents study I put together a Power point presentation to go along with our World Continents Mat that you can find here, and our World Landmarks Toob  Around the World  Toob by Safari.


We used a set of three part cards for this Toob, very kindly shared for free at  Montessori Tidbits (now The Hands On Home schooler).

My presentation has two pages for each monument. The first has an image of the monument with important facts, including the City and Continent of origin.  Beside the image of the monument is a picture of the colour coded  continent to match our mat, and Montessori Puzzle Maps.

The second page has the coloured continent and map, showing where on the continent the monument is located.  We went through each monument together.  Xander found and matched the monument to the image ( as you would with 3 part cards), read the facts, examined the map, and placed the figure.

This was super fun!
