This is how we made our introduction to Pronouns, and we started with Personal Pronouns. I put together a lesson from Montessori for Everyone. I absolutely love how she created her Grammar Introductory lessons. I also read about the Pronoun material in The Advanced Montessori Method - Maria Montessori here. Then my Manual From Montessori Research & Development. There are variations in presenting this material, and it can be adapted to suit your child's needs, and reading level. These are the things I chose to do, that worked well for us.
I love these sentences and customized them for Xander using his name (and his sister's), and things he was interested in. He simply read through all the sentences, and then we had a chat about how they sounded. We then took a look at the definition and symbol. He recorded the sentences and inserted Pronouns in place of repetitive Nouns.

This is a Pronoun word list.

Xander made up a few of his own funny sentences with Pronoun examples.
Recording a couple sentences with the Pronoun symbol in his language journal.
