The Triangle Game is an early version of the Adjective Game played in Elementary Grammar. This game is in my Montessori Research and Development Manual - Language Arts 5. We bought our Detective Adjective Game here.
This is a very simple setup. A tray with triangles selected from your Detective Adjective Triangle game box, and labels you can easily make yourself. I made the following labels: small, medium, large, red, blue, yellow, the, triangle and then the nine command cards as pictured below. You can easily make the triangles with laminated card stock or wood. It does not matter what type of triangle you use in this game.
Detective Adjective is also a fun way to practice learning the different types of triangles after the Geometric Cabinet. Here is a great Detective Adjective lesson, and this one from Montessori Album is amazing as well. Here are command cards you can print for free. You can print the triangles for this game here or for free here. The most economical is to make them on your own.
Xander placed grammar symbols above the words on his command cards.
We had great fun with this!
