This box is completely inspired by this blog and box!! Montessori for Learning has a wonderful free FREE download for scissor practice sheets.
While Ava has been cutting for several years now I must say she LOVES it. She cuts all of the edges of her art paper fringe style, and loves paper snow flakes etc. She loves this box! She cuts the strips up, and we add them to our box of scraps for art projects. I decided to fill it with strips of paper left over from trimming other projects. Right now it's filled with card stock, and later maybe scrapbook paper. I lined them with a pen and ruler myself. Ava's second favourite past time is gluing!!
So this is perfect 💕

I did exactly the same thing after I read Suzannes post on the box! Next stage, when Scholastic has their $1 deals, I bought two books for cutting exercises - "Preschool Basic Skills Scissor Activities and Fine Motor Skills" and "Little Kids . . . Cut!". Also have you seen Kirigami - Japanese art of cutting, basically where snowflakes originates from.
