Interjection Introduction, Montessori Grammar At Home

This simple exercise that was put together with inspiration and ideas from Montessori for Everyone.  We made the solids ourselves.

This introduction to interjections was very simple.
First I read a couple of cards to give him an understanding of the emotion behind them. Then we came up with lots ourselves, and talked about situations where you may hear Interjections used. Xander had fun with these cards.
Next we used Interjection cards to match with simple sentences.  Xander recorded his choice of a few sentences, and then created his interjection booklet.  He loves these booklets, they are wonderful for a quick review before we start lessons.

Next we got into sentence labelling with symbols, for all parts of speech, and in turn creating sentences from grammar symbols. I'll show this work in another post.
I have created the material for our first elementary grammar box, and will
show this when we get into it.

Ava LOVES the grammar solids.
Every time we get into grammar work she wants to work with them 💗
