Several times a year we take the kids to a village museum set in 1865 - Upper Canada Village. The village is so wonderful, and full of learning opportunities. We love to visit after all of the kitchen gardens have started to established. The staff in the houses are sometimes hit and miss, but the amazing houses and gardens are so worth the trip.
We also make a trip in the fall, and winter for the Light Festival. They light the entire village and offer horse drawn wagon rides, miniature train ride, and there is a lodge full of treats and dinner for a great warm up and rest. Here are a few pictures to share.
