There are endless Montessori Practical Life, lessons, activities and explanations to be found on this very special and important area of the Montessori curriculum. I will chat about what it has done for my children, and how it worked for us at home.
We went through so many amazing activities some of which included, transfer, pouring, tweezing, scooping, pressing, spooning, folding, cleaning.
This did many things for my guys in addition to the time we spent together having fun. It helped to developed focus, concentration, Independence, and a great sense of self, and self esteem at a very early age. These skills and activities were fun for my guys, as they are for most.
Making Quiche
There is a really cute show from Disney Jr called "Tasty Time with ZeFronk". Every time my guys see this, they want to head into the kitchen and make a snack!!
So here is the result of one of their snack attacks ๐
Cracking ...
Pinching...
Whisking...
Reasoning...
Grinding...
Mixing...
Spraying...
Cutting...
Rationing...
Placing...
Grating...
Portioning...
Pouring...
Waiting patiently...
I loved the Quiche, but they did not. But that wasn't the point๐
