For the past few years we have had a Christmas Cookie Decorating & Crafts - Kids Party. We have some very special friends join us. I usually pre-bake the cookies, and make the royal icing, sometimes we use ready made icing. I hit up the Bulk Barn for a great selection of candy and sprinkles.
My mommy friend brought egg cartons to hold a sample of our decorating treats and sprinkles for each child to have at their own little station - such a great idea!
I put the coloured icing in ramekins - two kids per set of colours. We used large craft sticks to decorate with, and we have also used small plastic baby spoons.
A beautiful cookie Miss Ava 💗
I have a set of amazing copper snow flake cutters that I used for these. Below we used a standard gingerbread man cutter.
A beautiful tray of creations !!
There is usually a little dress up that goes on:)
Last year they made these fun little snow globe tree ornaments, inspired by some I found on Pinterest. I collect all kinds of Christmas inspiration on my Christmas Decor Food & Crafts board come check it out!

how do you make the icing?
ReplyDeleteWe have used two types in the past. I make Royal Icing. I like this one http://www.foodnetwork.ca/recipe/icing-sugar-cookies/5477/ We have also used canned icing we just heated it up a little to make it easy to spread and colour. Good luck with it!!
