Crochet a Cast Cover for a Child's Arm!

Ava had a minor arm fracture this summer, but it did require a cast for period. I thought I share with you all the really cute little crocheted cast cover that I made for her.
I did not use a pattern, but will tell you generally how I made this for her.

I have create a really basic tutorial to give you an idea of how I made this.
Perhaps someday I will make a pattern but this really is quite simple to make once you get the hang of it. Click on the images to get a larger view. If you have any questions I will do my very best to answer them in the comments!

  1. Well Done! I'm always keen to see how people tackle the problem of ugly casts...I'm sure your little girl was really proud of her unique cast cover made especially for her. Lovely bright colours too. Our motto is " Happy People Heal Better" & you surely did your bit to aid healing with that crochet cover! Regards Marion
